Dr Erickson gives Conference on Pain Management

Dr. Erickson at the Raleigh Hand to Shoulder Center gave hand conference titled: The Opioid Epidemic, The Role of the Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Erickson discussed the opioid crisis in the United States and ways to reduce patient pain after surgery while minimizing the use of opioid prescriptions.

Dr Erickson discussed Hand Tumors at Conference

Dr John Erickson gave hand conference at WakeMed Hospital for UNC orthopedic residents and hospital staff on August 10, 2020. He discussed Tumors of the Hand and Wrist and presented several illustrative cases. Local area hand surgeons, radiologists, occupational therapists, and Physicians Assistants were in attendance in-person and viewing online.

Dr. Erickson speaks about flexor tendon injuries

Dr. Erickson of Raleigh Hand to Shoulder Center was the invited speaker for the quarterly meeting of the North Carolina Upper Extremity Special Interest Group. On January 15, 2019 Dr. Erickson and 20 occupational therapists discussed current trends in surgical and rehabilitative treatment for patients with flexor tendon injuries in the hands.

Dr Erickson discusses Dupuytren’s Contracture treatment

Dr. John Erickson of Raleigh Hand Center discussed Dupuytren’s Contracture treatment at the UNC orthopedic hand conference on August 14, 2017. Dr. Erickson offers 3 types of procedures for Dupuytrens patients: needle aponeurotomy, Xiaflex injections, and Dupuytrens fasciectomy surgery.
