John Erickson Artwork

Dr. John Erickson is an orthopedic surgeon and hand specialist who practices in Raleigh, NC.  He has always enjoyed creating art in various mediums, but the pandemic in 2020 gave him the rare opportunity to slow down and try his hand at painting. During the early months of the pandemic, painting provided John with an outlet for relaxation and creativity. 

Currently, John appreciates the process of creating art in his free time and being present in the moment while painting. He is a self-taught artist — therefore his painting style changes with time and fresh exploration on the canvas. Inspired by the beauty of nature, John often paints ocean scenes, salt marshes, and mountain landscapes.
