John Erickson Art

Dr. John Erickson is an orthopedic surgeon and hand specialist who practices in Raleigh, North Carolina.  He has always enjoyed creating art in various mediums, but the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 gave him the rare opportunity to slow down and try his hand at painting. During the first few stressful months of the pandemic, painting provided him with an outlet for relaxation and creativity. 

Currently, Dr. Erickson appreciates the process of creating art in his free time and being present in the moment while painting. Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, he often paints coastal scenes and mountain landscapes. He hopes that his artwork is approachable and able to produce joy wherever it is displayed.
